My Bio
Hello! My name is Erin Chatterton. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah, and I have been beading jewelry since 1996. I have loved jewelry since I can remember, and I've always had a special place in my heart for beadwork, so it really made sense that I would end up making beaded jewelry.

Back in 1996 I was on a trip to Seattle and saw some of the most beautiful jewelry, and I made up my mind to come home and try to make some for myself. The first thing I made was a beaded chain for my sunglasses, and I've been hooked ever since. Over the years I have learned a lot, but to this day I am still learning and trying new patterns, so each day is a potential for something new.

Until about 5 years ago I was an Operations Service Manager in IT for a national grocery store chain. I got married, had a baby, and quit my job in 2006. Small children and beads don't get along very well, so I took time off from beading until last year when my husband encouraged me to start up again. Now I try to carve out a few hours a day to work on beading and maintain my Etsy shop.

Thank you for taking a look at my work, and I hope you have a terrific day!

Went to Peach Days.  Experienced Peach Days.  I don't even know what to say.  Very bizarre.  There was a lady with a double wide stroller that ran over the foot of a man that was standing on the path and he yelled at her... she yelled at him, and a fight nearly broke out.  My booth was on a hill and it wasn't in a great spot.  I had to rearrange everything so that my table wasn't sloping downhill and it really messed up the mojo of my booth!  It was WINDY.  It was also exhausting.  14.5 hour days of setting up, sitting there, breaking down. So yeah, it seems like I should have come away with a bad taste in my mouth, but I didn't.  I came awa

Crunch time

One week left and I'm off to the Peach Days Festival.  I'm not prepared.  I am prepared.  I'm not prepared.  I am prepared.  This is my mind.  I have serious doubts as to whether I can be a business person.  I love to bead and I love creating, but when it comes to selling and pricing, I have legitimate doubts about my abilities. I am just so unsure right now.  That is all.

Branching out

I haven't been adding too many items to DA, or to Etsy lately.  I have applied for two very big shows that are very nearly back to back which means I need a LOT of product.  As some of my more unusual/unique designs are completed (or the items that I think are cool) I will post them, for now I won't be posting much else.  Happy trails!
